Ask the person who builds it.
Email support@ellicstudio.com. Tell us your device, your system version and what you were doing, and attach a report or project if you can.
- Where can I get Ellic Studio?
- It is in a private TestFlight beta and is not on the App Store yet. This page and the changelog will say when that changes.
- What will it cost?
- It will be free to download, with an optional Pro subscription. What Pro includes and its price are not decided yet.
- What does it run on?
- iPad and iPhone with iPadOS or iOS 18 or later.
- Where are my projects kept?
- As named files on your device. Each project keeps versions as it changes, so you can open or restore an earlier one, and name a version to keep it for good.
- How do I back up or move my work?
- A project can be sent whole, with its audio and sounds. A backup puts everything into one file.
- A project opened silent, with its effects off. What happened?
- If a project closed unexpectedly the last time it was open, Ellic Studio opens it in safe mode. Nothing in it has changed. Use the card under the top bar to turn the sound on, or to go back to normal.
- Which files can I get out of it?
- WAV, stems and MIDI files. A song can also be written as a DAWproject for Bitwig Studio, Studio One and Cubase.
- Which controllers work?
- Any MIDI controller, over USB or Bluetooth, using MIDI learn. Launchpad X and Mini MK3, APC mini mk2 and Key 25 mk2, Launch Control XL 3 and MiniLab 3 are recognised and mapped on connection. An M-VAVE FM-1 can run Ellic Remote.
- How do I report a crash?
- Crash and hang reports stay on your device. Find them in Settings, export the one you want to share, and attach it to an email to us.
